Kewpie miniature doll mold (also referred to as Cupie)
I believe this is made of aluminum, based on the color of the metal but I'm not positive so I can't guaranteee that.... it may be tin.
This sweet miniature doll mold can be used for candy, chocolate, butter pats or even crafts such as soap. The mold is single sided and is not marked or numbered. I do believe it was made in Germany, based on other similar ones I have currently found .
Vintage 1960's
The approximate measurements are 1.75" X 1.75" (not counting the metal hanger) 2.25" with hanger.
The aluminum is tarnished with age but apart from aesthetics, is in overall very good condition. My pictures are terrible, the molds are much cleaner looking in person, please keep in mind the extreme enlarging that I have used. Also, the metal looks like it's peeling, there is no indication of peeling when you run your fingers over it, I'm guessing this is a result of aging.. the mold is approximately 60 years old!!
I'm still researching the value of this little mold, I believe this is a fair price but I'm open to best offers.
